Multibeam Navigator
Screen shot of Multibeam Navigator window
The Multibeam Navigator logs and displays multibeam data from the Sync Humminbird Logging System (SHLS) (a compact, shallow water mapping system). The Multibeam Navigator provides moving map capabilities for displaying navigation and depth coverage on a background image.
The program displays depths as color coded lines, with the lengths determined by the swath width. It saves the data to a custom XML file containing both the navigation and the depth data. Users can also save the data to separate files: a NMEA file for the navigation and an ASCII file for the soundings.
The Multibeam Navigator is written in C# for use on a WIN32 platform. The C# application also runs under newer versions of Mono on other platforms.
