This movie illustrates coastal changes along the shoreline at Tuktoyaktuk, NWT. It shows the rectified aerial photographic mosaics for 1952, 1964, 1970, 1980, 1992, and 2000.

Each rectified mosaic has a digitized shoreline for that year, plus the digitized shoreline for previous years. As you move through the images from 1952 to 2000, you can see how the shoreline changes.

The images below illustrate coastal changes to the northern spit at Tuktoyaktuk, over 50 years. Each colored line represents a specific year: red for 1952, green for 1964, blue for 1970, yellow for 1980, fuchsia for 1992, and black for 2000.
